Frequently asked questions
Which mode should hide IDs, addresses or private chat text?
Use a solid cover and include the entire text and its edges. Blur and pixelation are visual effects and should not be treated as reliable information removal.
Can I redact several separate areas?
Yes. Each selection keeps the mode, color and strength used when it was added. Undo removes the most recent region.
Why are outlines still visible after pixelation?
Pixelation combines pixels into blocks and can preserve broad shapes. Increase the strength for appearance, or use an opaque solid cover for sensitive content.
Is the original changed?
No. A new image is generated. Save it before leaving the page.
Does it redact every frame of an animated GIF?
No. Images are treated as still pictures. Each image is limited to 10 MB and 32 megapixels; use an animation editor to preserve animated frames.
