What are horizontal and vertical flips?
A horizontal flip exchanges left and right; a vertical flip exchanges top and bottom. Neither swaps dimensions or changes pixel size.
What happens if I apply both flips?
The result is equivalent to rotating by 180°. Click a direction again to undo it, or use Reset to restore the original.
Will text be mirrored too?
Yes. Text, logos and people are flipped with all image pixels. Add a new label after flipping if readable text is needed.
How is flipping different from rotating?
Flipping reflects an image; rotation turns it around its center. Use this tool for mirrors and Rotate Image for orientation or tilt correction.
What happens to transparency and image quality?
Flipping retains original pixel dimensions. PNG or WebP can preserve alpha; JPEG is lossy and fills transparent areas. Inputs up to 10 MB and 32 MP are processed.
