Frequently asked questions
How is the percentage calculated?
It divides each count by the total counted tokens after applying options. In Hello hello world with case merging, hello appears twice out of three, about 66.7%.
Is Chinese frequency counted per character or word?
It uses Unicode word segmentation, not individual Han-character frequency. “你好” can be one word. Use Word Counter for the number of Han characters.
Does stop-word filtering remove Chinese function words?
No. The current list contains common English words such as the, and and of. Chinese words remain; this is not a full Chinese keyword-extraction system.
What happens when case merging is enabled?
Hello, HELLO and hello share one lowercase entry. Disable it to count them separately. Punctuation usually is not a word; Unicode segmentation determines token boundaries.
Can this determine SEO keyword rankings?
No. It analyzes your input rather than search volume, competition or rankings. Use it to inspect repetition and topic distribution, not to mechanically stuff keywords.
