Frequently asked questions
How do Title Case and Capitalized Case differ?
Capitalized Case starts every word with a capital. Title Case keeps common internal articles, short prepositions and conjunctions lowercase, as in The Lord of the Rings.
Does sentence case recognize names or brands?
No. It capitalizes sentence starts after punctuation and lowers other letters. Proper nouns, trademarks and technical acronyms are not recognized automatically.
What is alternating versus inverse case?
Alternating switches letter casing in sequence, ignoring spaces and punctuation. Inverse flips existing casing. Han characters with no case distinction stay unchanged.
Are numbers, punctuation and Chinese text changed?
Numbers and punctuation remain. Han characters generally have no case distinction. Unicode casing in some languages can change the number of characters.
Should I use it on passwords or code identifiers?
Use care: passwords, URL paths and identifiers may be case-sensitive. This is text styling, not validation of whether a changed value remains usable.
