What does extra-space cleanup change?
It collapses runs of whitespace within each line to one space and trims line edges. This can change indentation or Markdown alignment, so inspect the preview.
How do blank-line removal and repeated-newline cleanup differ?
Blank-line removal deletes all blank lines. Repeated-newline cleanup reduces three or more consecutive newlines to two, keeping one blank separator.
Which duplicate line is retained?
The first occurrence remains in its original order. Matching is case-sensitive across the whole line; if space cleanup is enabled, it runs before deduplication.
Can I recover the original text?
The input pane remains unchanged while output appears separately. Change options and compare again before copying the result elsewhere.
Does it strip HTML or every invisible character?
No. The options address spacing and duplicate lines; this is not an HTML sanitizer, security scanner or universal Unicode-control-character remover.
