Frequently asked questions
How do I choose OCR language and orientation?
Choose the language shown in the image: English, simplified or traditional Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, Indonesian, French or German. Rotate text upright and optionally increase contrast before recognition; sharp, upright images are easier to read.
Does Image to Text support Chinese and English?
Nine language choices are available; non-English choices also recognize English and digits, and the default follows the page language. Copy, edit or download TXT, but review characters, decimal points, punctuation and identifiers.
Does recognized text keep exact image layout?
Not exactly. Output is editable text with recognized line breaks, without the original fonts, colors, table structure or precise positioning. It does not create a laid-out Word document.
Which image formats can Image to Text read?
Use JPG, PNG, WebP or browser-readable BMP. One image is recognized at a time; PDF, animation and multi-page batch recognition are not provided.
What should I do about OCR errors or no detected text?
Check language and orientation, use a sharp text region and avoid glare, shadows or severe tilt. Try contrast enhancement and correct the result manually. Handwriting and decorative fonts can be difficult.
What image size and resolution limits apply to Image to Text?
Each image is limited to 10 MB and 12 megapixels, one at a time. A small file can still exceed the pixel limit; crop the text region or resize the image before recognition.
Does Image to Text require registration?
No account is required and the tool is currently free. Download results before closing or refreshing the page. Initial loading needs an internet connection; processing speed depends on the device and file size.
