TIFF is used for scans and publishing; inspect frame count and print metadata separately. WebP is useful for web graphics; transparency and animation depend on the conversion route.
Quality and output
Default WebP output uses lossy encoding. PNG transparency can be retained, but RGB pixels can change. Do not assume a fixed percentage reduction or lossless output.
How to use
- Upload a valid TIFF file.
- Run the conversion to WEBP.
- Download the result and check it before replacing your original.
Before you download
Do not use this route to archive every page of a multipage TIFF. Keep the original and verify the page you intended to share; this route exports only its first frame.
