Frequently asked questions
How do I speed audio up to 1.5 times?
Select 1.5× to hear the source preview immediately at that rate. Generate MP3 or WAV when satisfied. The result plays at 1× with the speed change already applied.
How does tempo adjustment differ from pitch shifting?
Tempo changes duration while approximately preserving pitch. Pitch shifting changes note height while approximately keeping duration. A 60-second track at 2× becomes about 30 seconds; use Pitch Changer for higher or lower pitch.
Can extreme tempo settings affect sound quality?
Yes. Extreme rates such as 0.25× or 4× can introduce graininess, echo or unnatural sound. Start nearer 1× and adjust gradually while listening to the exported result.
Which audio speed multipliers are available?
Choose 0.25×, 0.5×, 0.75×, 1×, 1.25×, 1.5×, 2×, 3× or 4×. Values below 1× slow down, values above it speed up, and 1× retains source tempo.
Does changing tempo remove pauses?
No. Pauses speed up or slow down too. Use Silence Remover first when you want to remove silence or long gaps, then adjust the overall tempo.
What size and duration limits apply to Audio Speed Changer?
Audio input is limited to 10 MB and 30 minutes, with generated output up to 150 MB. WAV can be much larger than an MP3 source; choose MP3 or a shorter track if needed.
Does Audio Speed Changer require registration?
No account is required and the tool is currently free. Download results before closing or refreshing the page. Initial loading needs an internet connection; processing speed depends on the device and file size.
