Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the same as PDF to JPG?
No. This extracts embedded images rather than rendering entire pages. Pages without embedded images produce no images; duplicate image objects are exported once.
Why does a text page produce no images?
Text and vector graphics are not necessarily embedded raster images. The tool exports identifiable image objects, so pages without them produce no images.
Will a scanned PDF yield the full scan image?
An embedded scan image can be extracted. If the page is assembled from several image tiles, extraction can yield multiple images rather than one composited page.
Why is a repeated logo exported only once?
Several pages can reference one image object, which is exported once. Visually identical images stored as different objects may still produce separate outputs.
Does extraction upscale images or convert everything to JPG?
It does not create higher resolution and normally preserves extractable original formats. Masks, transparency or unusual color spaces can differ from the full-page appearance.
