Frequently Asked Questions

Can annotations be edited later?

Annotations remain editable in compatible PDF readers.

Do highlights and notes change the original text?

No. They are added as annotations. Use Edit PDF to replace text, or redaction to remove sensitive content rather than a highlight or rectangle annotation.

Can a note be applied to every page?

Yes. Set the note and placement, then choose all pages or current page. Check its position on pages with different sizes or orientations.

Why does a reader hide the note text?

Compatible readers often show it after clicking the note icon. Print and browser previews may display annotations differently; verify in an annotation-capable reader.

Where is annotation processing performed?

Save the PDF with your annotations as a new file. The original is kept intact. Files are limited to 10 MB and 200 pages; review the additions before submitting.
