Frequently Asked Questions
How is splitting different from extracting pages?
Splitting produces multiple PDFs in a ZIP archive. Extract Pages produces one PDF containing your selection.
How do I specify ranges such as 1–3 and 5–6?
Set separate output groups in the range controls. Page numbers start at one and cannot exceed the document length. Check each group against the thumbnails.
What happens when the final group is smaller?
The remaining pages form a smaller PDF rather than being dropped or padded. Seven pages split in groups of three produces files with 3, 3 and 1 pages.
How do I download the split PDFs?
The results page lists each PDF for individual download. Use Extract PDF Pages when you need one file containing selected pages.
Does splitting remove pages from my original?
No. The tool creates copies according to your split settings. Splitting is not compression or scan enhancement.
