SVG holds vector artwork; a pixel export fixes its size and cannot preserve editable paths. JPEG suits photographs, uses lossy compression and cannot store transparent pixels.
Quality and output
JPEG output uses lossy encoding. Transparent input regions are composited onto white; the result cannot keep an alpha channel. Check text, sharp edges and colour after conversion.
